This beautiful button quail recently came into our care after being rescued by a kind local gentlemen, whose neighbour had been threatening to release the quail into the woods. Being tiny in size and a domestic species not adapted to the wild, the quail would not have survived long.

We sought out a sanctuary home for the quail and found a placement with the wonderful folks at Dartford Animal Rescue Team, who had existing quails in need of company, and who are one of the few other rescues those local to Bexley and Dartford can rely on when they find animals in distress.

A happy life now awaits this lucky bird.
