Crafting for Conservation: How White Horse Woodcraft's Artistry Supports GWN

Writer's picture: Rae GellelRae Gellel

Did you know that our Chair of Trustees, Darren, is a talented artist? Through his creative venture, White Horse Woodcraft, Darren is raising funds to support Greenwich Wildlife Network.

Also the husband of our dedicated trustee and volunteer, Fran, Darren spends many evenings tucked away in his garden shed, transforming reclaimed and sustainable wood into beautiful, hand-carved creations.

White Horse Woodcraft features stunning designs meticulously carved by Darren, with 10% of profits from his wildlife-themed pieces donated to our Charity. Even the waxes used to treat the wood are eco-friendly and plant-based, making the pieces truly environmentally conscious.

One highlight from his collection is this £25 hand-carved wall art, showcasing a serene fox and her cubs nestled in a woodland setting.

By purchasing from White Horse Woodcraft, you’ll not only support local wildlife and sustainable artistry but also help fuel Darren’s caffeine habit – an essential part of his hard work as a trustee for GWN.
