After a long and sometimes frustrating application process, we finally have a charity bank account!
This is a big milestone for us, as it’s not possible to submit an application for charity status without first opening a bank account. There’s now nothing preventing the Greenwich Wildlife Network from applying to become a charity. There are a few more details to go over before we click the submit button, but the bulk of the work has been done and that’s enormously satisfying.
This also means we can now receive donations directly rather than through Paypal only! For anyone wishing to donate through bank transfer or set up a regular standing order with their bank, our details at Lloyd’s Bank can be found here.
Many thanks to our (soon to be) treasurer Karine for all her work on this - without a doubt we'd have struggled to get past stage one without her laser-like focus and efficiency.
