We were humbled and honoured recently to be presented with a giant cheque for £1,183.91 by the staff and catering students at City View Restaurant Shooters Hill SE18, an incredible student-led fine dining experience at Shooters Hill Post 16 College. Along with another fantastic local cause, Roots 4 Life, Greenwich Wildlife Network was selected by students to be the recipient of a week of fundraising, culminating in a special event at the restaurant. The evening featured heartfelt speeches, a (very competitive!) raffle, and a truly delicious five-course meal (with vegan options!)
As volunteers from the charity, we were privileged to attend as guests, and we were absolutely spoiled from start to finish. The quality of the both the food and service was amazing, with everything from plant-based canapés to cocktails. It was clear that the students poured their passion and skill into every detail of the evening; something that was truly inspiring to see.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the students, staff, and supporters of Shooters Hill Post 16 College for their incredible efforts. Your generosity will undoubtedly save lives and have a lasting positive impact on the community we share — including people, animals, and the environment.
Thank you for believing in the work we do and for helping us continue our mission. This is a meal, and an evening, we will never forget.
